The finest medical care in the world can be supplied largely through the service of an independent medical practitioner of any discipline as it helps to maintain good patient-doctor relationship. To maintain this independent medical practitioner’s service in the highest standard, the roles of paramedics are very important. It is also stated that insufficient Paramedics are a Global Problem.

With this idea our team submitted a project of different optometry and paramedical courses to the University of Kalyani and after discussion, verification and also to reduce the gap between demand and supply of optometrist and paramedical staffs the project was sanctioned and “Dr. K.R. Adhikary College of Optometry and Paramedical Technology” started its journey from 2003-04 session with affiliation to University of Kalyani.

Our organization regularly arranges & takes part actively in the social activities that are related to prevention and treatment of health hazards of common people mainly in rural and slum areas and feel proud and honoured to take part in this type of health related activities which are beneficial for the society around us and the mankind as a whole. Our institution never tries and desires to get monetary benefit from these activities.

Our Faculty members not only teach our students at class rooms they also involve themselves in different social works like as guide in socio-medical programmes, as speaker in the seminar & workshops, as medical officer/In charge in technical works in different free health camps and teach the students how to work at the grass root level.

We like to do something for the benefit of the community development. We have no sufficient money but well skilled Faculty, field workers, energetic Students and honesty are our capital. So, all Government and non-government organizations are always welcome in our projects.
